Rocky Mountain Art Competition:

Enter one original piece. The artists who enter vote, and most votes wins $2,000. Every entrant, winner included, can then sell the piece they entered on Brush & Tell and keep 100 percent of the sale.

Verify your school email
We’ll send one code to your school email to confirm you’re a student at one of the ten schools.

Submit one original piece
When entries open, you’ll choose the one original piece you want to represent you.

The artists vote
Every artist who enters gets two votes to cast for pieces other than their own. The piece with the most votes wins $2,000.

Questions
Who can enter?
Any student currently enrolled at one of the ten schools, verified by school email. You don’t need to be an art major or in an art program: if you’re enrolled and you make art, you’re welcome to enter. Full eligibility terms, including the age requirement, are in the official rules published when entries open.
What counts as original?
Your own work, made by you, that hasn’t been sold before.
How does voting work?
Every artist who enters gets two votes to cast for any two entered pieces other than their own, from any of the ten schools. The piece with the most votes wins. If there’s a tie, the earlier entry wins.
What does the winner get?
$2,000, flat.
What happens to my piece afterward?
Whether you win or not, you can list or auction the piece you entered on Brush & Tell and keep 100 percent of that sale. Our standard terms apply to anything you list after that.
When does it happen?
Entries open November 1st and close December 31st. The artists who entered vote January 1st to 7th, the top five are named January 8th, and the winner is announced January 11th. The final auctions close January 16th to 17th, all online.
Is there an event?
No. Everything happens right here on brushandtell.com and in the app.
Official rules publish when entries open on November 1st. Prize terms are as planned and subject to the official rules.
