About this piece
The gaze is very powerful. It can lead you places whether within or somewhere physical. In this painting I explored how I view myself. The masks I wear to present myself. The fool was inspired my this painting called "Laughing Fool" where it depicts a full laughing at the audience, because a fool is a commentator on how people act. He's laughing because they are laughing at themselves. In this painting I am the commentator. I am furious, judgmental, sad, and...me. Underneath the mask I am simply a fiery person, who loves reading and painting.
